I would like books to be returned by Monday (5/14), which has been revised because of EOCs interrupting 4th period meeting this week.
By that time, you also need to have:
- signed up for your presentation topic and date
- signed up for your PERSONAL project topic (and picked up Ishmael, if you're reading it)
- turned in your exams from the year (there are eight in all!).
Any questions?
Also, the final statement on overrides for the summer has been posted on Shlachtman's YourClassPage.com.

APES Exam "Emergency Board"
Post questions as you're studying and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I should be around the computer most of the weekend, so I should be able to respond quickly.
Please also read through other questions to help you and to review confusing topics.
National APES Review on Facebook
Remember, I'll be in at 6:15 Monday morning and we'll do a pot luck breakfast - bring what you signed up for! And only plan to eat if you plan to bring something!

Competition time!
So, in class today, it was suggested that we have a competition for the best APES puns. As you review over the next few weeks, post any you think of here.
The best one will get 10 bonus points on a single grade assignment. I'm willing to consider there being more than one winner.
Have fun (but keep it clean!)
And the link to the comic that shows relative depths: http://xkcd.com/1040/ (you should check out how deep the Russian's have gotten in their goal to get to the mantle).
EDIT: Tap in to APES teachers from all over the US (not just me!) by joining the National APES review on FB. As of 4/19 its a bit slow there, but over the next three weeks it will get REALLY hopping! Go here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/114430001915985/

20 Things to Know About...
In class you:
Thought with your partner to come up with the 20 most important things for your topic. You brainstormed and then took half of the list.
Post your half of the list below.
- If you are the first poster for your topic, make a new comment below.
- If someone in your class or another period has already commented, reply to that comment.
This is intended to keep things organized by topic.
Your participation grade will be based on quality of content and speed with which submission is made (the earlier in the day the better, but after 4 p.m.).
EDIT: From what I'm seeing - you guys nailed it! Nice work! Now...use this to study!! You could even use it to make flashcards if that's your thing.

Practice Exam
You should take this exam and see how you do. These are actual College Board questions, but may or may not have ever appeared on an APES exam.

Also, encourage others in my APES classes to subscribe via email to this blog, which is mostly to be used for announcements for APES.
For those interested in purchasing the APES Crash Course app - it's on the iTunes store for $.99. I have not seen it so do not know whether or not to recommend it. If you get it, feel free to leave a comment below for others to see.
And, enjoy the Aurora Borealis below: (taken in Finland)
